This website sheds the light on the role of Arab governments in the current climate negotiations by following on their positions and analyzing them, and aims at pushing these governments to take stronger positions, in order to save the region and the planet from the catastrophic impacts of climate change.
IndyACT is one of the few accredited Arab NGOs to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, and is a leading NGO in the TckTckTck campaign. As such, IndyACT has been following on and attending every climate change negotiation session and every event where it is lobbying and pushing Arab governments to realize that what is at stake is the survival of civilization.
cantdrinkoil.org is more than a viral campaign-- it's a collective action against deliberate obstructionist climate policies that only serve the oil-trade, as if it is the only good thing in Arab World. Being part of this region, we say 'Arabs are more than oil'. If we can turn deserts into cities, we certainly can live in a world beyond oil-- a transformation we so desperately need.
